For those curious…

Why are my shipping charges the way they are?

My packaging changes sometimes but retains the same basic elements; simplicity and eco friendly. I use as many natural and recycled elements possible and limit my use of plastics to small bags and bubble wrap envelopes made from recycled materials. I hope to eventually use no plastics in my shipping.

The packaging is just as important as the product. I take a lot of care in crafting my products as well as creating individual labels and logos for every product. If I were to just throw it in a padded envelope and scrawl an address on it then it wouldn’t mirror the thoughtfulness that goes into everything I do.

Each oil comes packaged in it’s own little box, sometimes two to a box for the smaller oil sizes. I use kraft paper and dried moss and flowers as padding. This keeps the bottles safe from the sometimes heavy handed postal workers and limits the amount of large boxes I need to ship in. For the wonkier shaped items, I wrap them in just kraft paper. I sometimes add a bow of red raffia or natural twine or none at all, whichever suits my fancy at the time of processing. They receive a hamsa stamp to help keep the sanctity of the products fresh and unharmed while they travel to their destination. You never know what kind of things will cling to witchy packages. Your package also may contain any extras I’ve decided to include which could be anything from a sample of another product of mine to a charcoal tablet to burn your newly purchased incense on. Included will also be a business card of mine with a handwritten personal note on the back. I put it all in the envelope or recycled box and attach an address label on the outside. I go through this process with each and every package.

Why do I take all this time and effort to wrap and stamp and label these items? Because I want you to feel good and excited when your package arrives! I want that excitement to carry through the tearing open of the envelope to see the lovely boxes inside and then see the amazing products they contain. I want you to look at your package and read the little note and see the care and heart I put into everything.

I want my package to make your day.

I think sometimes people forget that I make every item I sell. By hand. With no help. Because I love it. Handmade items cost more because, at least in my case, they are real and without synthetics. Please support handmade products.
